The horrors that have started to come to light about all of the dark corners of Nickelodeon are truly concerning. As if all of Dan Schneider’s dirty laundry being aired out to the world was not enough, it would seem that Nickelodeon’s dialogue and acting coach, Brian Peck, is no different. In 2003, he was arrested on 11 charges which ranged from sodomy to lewd acts, all involving a minor. Recently, Drake Bell revealed that he was the minor in this situation.

Going into great detail in the documentary, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, he revealed how someone he looked at as a father figure, turned his whole, young world upside down. On top of mentally torturing him to an unimaginable degree, he created a situation for the then 15-year-old actor, where there was absolutely no escape for him.

During this documentary, Bell also revealed the moment he decided enough was enough, and it all had to do with Peck’s attempt to get cast as his father in a project.

Drake Bell is best known for his work on Nickelodeon. While his work on iCarly, and Sam and Cat has certainly helped his fame, it was his time on Drake and Josh that made him as successful as he is today. It would seem that Peck infesting every part of Bell’s life. His mother trusted the adult, so while the young actor was trying to make it big in Hollywood, he had no option but to stay at Peck’s Los Angeles home. He was far too afraid to speak up about all of the abuse that was taking place in the dark halls of the house.

However, there was one moment when he decided that he had had enough. It all started when Peck tried to get cast as Bell’s father in Drake and Josh.

Drake Bell Snapped and Could Not Take It Anymore

It seemed as though someone poured a bucket of ice-cold water on Drake Bell. There was no way he would let Brian Peck, who haunted his nightmares and his waking moments, taint the one good thing he was getting in his life. He would not let the man ruin Drake and Josh for him.

“I was like, That is not going to happen, you’re not coming anywhere near this show.’” said Bell.

Bell, fuming by the news, called up his mother and told her everything, not leaving any detail out. It would seem that this was the hard part for the young boy. The police investigation began on one of the most important men in kids’ television and Bell was forced to share every awful detail of his abuse with people he had never met before.

“I had to be excruciatingly detailed about every single thing, [every] time that it had happened, with two absolute strangers. The worst part was I had to make a phone call to Brian and get him to admit what he’d done,” Bell said.

He even had to make a phone call to Peck and make him admit to everything that he had done to him so that he could get a confession. For someone as young as 15, this had to have been awful, to say the least.
