What Scene Did Henry Cavill And Freya Allan Improvise

During an episode of Netflix Geeked, Henry Cavill and Freya Allan discussed a scene in episode one of the show’s second season. The scene features the two characters, Geralt and Ciri, sitting by a campfire, and according to the actors, “That was Henry’s idea.” However, Netflix removed the scene to follow the original source material.

“I think we ad-libbed most of that scene. They [Netflix] ended up cutting it as scripted anyway, but there was a genuine feeling there. We were talking to one another as performers in character, and there was a real feeling. It was Geral telling the story of – he was a paternal or fraternal figure in such a way that Ciri felt safe, despite the fact that they had just gone through this horrible thing where mistakes have been made… but it felt real,” Cavill said.

This wasn’t the only scene improvised by the actor. Cavill has brought his own ideas and interpretation to the character, including the famous “Toss a coin to your Witcher” song, which he improvised on set. His improvisation added a unique touch to the show and made Geralt even more memorable.
