And this was the case when Jackie Chan berated one of his costars for their lack of professionalism and expressed his distaste for the whole situation without disclosing the name of his costar.

Jackie Chan expressed his distaste regarding one of his costar’s practices onset

Considering the initial struggles he had to endure before cementing his name in the top tiers of the industry, Jackie Chan hasn’t shied away from doing the tough work to ensure the success of his projects. However, this wasn’t the case for one of his costars and the Rush Hour star later described his distaste for the whole scenario and criticized the actress’ lack of professionalism. The actor expressed his complaints regarding the situation by stating,

“After shooting just two scenes, everyone would tell her that she worked hard. What hard work? That wasn’t hard work at all. Some action scenes have stunt doubles. And you’re saying you’re tired even though you didn’t do anything?”

However, despite his differences, the actor refused to disclose the name of his costar as “he can’t afford to offend” her. But his complaints were not limited to this particular actress, as he also complained about “the new batch” of young actors and their lack of work ethic.

Jackie Chan was disappointed after witnessing the lack of work ethic among young actors

Reflecting on Jackie Chan‘s illustrious career and the efforts that he has given to ensure his projects’ success, it’s reasonable why the actor is not amused by the lack of work ethic among young stars. According to him, many young actors are unprofessional and aren’t fully committed to the craft, and even though they want to appear great in the films, they refuse to do the hard work to get there. He said,

“They must have action scenes and it must look beautiful but they do not want to experience any hardship…Our actors cannot perspire,’ ‘Our actors cannot do action stunts,’ ‘ Our actors cannot do dangerous activities.’”
