Anya Taylor-Joy is an actress known for her iconic roles in movies like The Northman, The Menu, and, The Witch. Having her fair share of experience working in horror movies, Taylor-Joy recommended people not to do what she did as a teen.
Recalling an experience when she was just 16 years old, Anya Taylor-Joy did what most people wouldn’t do. When a car started following her, Taylor-Joy picked up the pace but stopped in her tracks when a person yelled that she wouldn’t regret it if she stopped!
Do Not Do What Anya Taylor-Joy Did!
Sitting alongside her co-star Nicholas Hoult in an interview, Taylor-Joy was talking about the then-released film, The Menu. While talking about horror experiences and the fair share of dangerous stuff involved, Taylor-Joy took the cake with her story.
In an interview, the actress recalled a tale from when she was just 16 years old. Stating that she wore her mother’s heels because she was going to a party and wanted to practice, The Queen’s Gambit star revealed that a car started following her. She prefaced this by urging people to not do what she did.
“I’m first gonna preface this by saying that my actions were very stupid and I don’t suggest that anybody does what I did. I was 16 and I wanted to wear my mom’s heels because I had a party and I was practicing.”
She further continued,
“So I take my dog for a walk and I see this car and it seems to be following me and I’m like ‘Okay, it’s definitely not following me’. It is following me so I like speed up, pick up the dog and then start running and then this guy sticks out his head out the window and goes ‘If you stop…you won’t regret it'”.
When the person told Taylor-Joy that she won’t regret stopping in her tracks… Anya Taylor-Joy actually stopped walking!
Anya Taylor-Joy Could Have Regretted The Decision!
Not thinking straight, Anya Taylor-Joy could have had some very terrible incident happen to her if it was actually a kidnapping van. As The Northman actress continued her tale, it turned out that a woman sitting in the van was from a modeling agency and wanted to hire Taylor-Joy!
“And I stopped. Which is why I don’t think other people should do this because that’s a line from every horror movie ever! It was the head of a modeling agency and she told me off for stopping and then told me to come into the modeling agency the next day with my parents”
Well, this event could have turned out very differently if the actress had met some unfortunate people. Starting her career in modeling, Taylor-Joy went on to receive worldwide fame for movies and shows that she starred in. Anya Taylor-Joy’s upcoming magnum opus, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has been a much-awaited prequel as the world waits for the release of the movie on 24th May 2024 in theaters.
