Ben Affleck is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and a beloved meme icon for the public. The image of the Justice League star in a blue t-shirt and black jeans holding a cigarette went viral years ago and is still used today. But that’s not all. Affleck’s meme collection has been updated to now include his infamous Grammy’s bored face. However, as per the star, not everything is as it looks and there’s more to the matter.

During a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ben Affleck talked about a popular misconception that exists in the public space about him always being bored at social events. A recent example was at the 2023 Grammy Awards, where a bored and uninterested-looking Affleck went viral with his wife, Jennifer Lopez.

Now, the actor has clarified what was going on with him when the host brought up him again looking bored at his own house party in 2022.

“I have a very unhappy-looking resting face. That’s how God made me. You don’t have to punish me for it.”

The Batman actor also clarified that he is aware that he’s a meme. In the interview, he said, “I’ve been the subject of the occasional meme.” This isn’t the first time the actor has talked about his meme face. In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Affleck clarified that he actually wasn’t bored at the 2023 Grammys. He said:

“I had a good time at the Grammys. My wife was going, and I thought, ‘Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.’ At movie award shows, it’s speeches and, like, sound-mixing webinars. But I thought this would be fun.”

Affleck is currently promoting his Air film, but in the midst of it, he is also talking about his upcoming appearance as Batman in The Flash. While the actor has generally been cautious to avoid spoilers, he recently gave out an important scene between his Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in The Flash.
