Before FRIENDS, Aniston had a rather middling career with none of her ventures working out. She starred in another sitcom called Muddling Through, which did not satisfy her and the show was not getting any views and interest from audiences. She was not given an inspiring note from the producer of the show when she requested to be left out of the show so that she could do FRIENDS.

Jennifer Aniston‘s early work in Mudding Through was not getting her anywhere and she wanted to explore other projects. That is when she saw an interesting opportunity in another sitcom called FRIENDS. When she requested the producer of Muddling Through to be left out of the show so that she could do FRIENDS without any other worry, she was given a rather condescending remark. She told Gayle King’s SiriusXM show, (on YouTube)

“I just went to the producer and I said, ‘Please, please let me out of this show. I really love this other show that I’m doing,’ And that’s when he said, ‘I’ve seen that show “Friends”, I saw that show. I saw the pilot. That’s not going to make you a star. This show will make you a star.’ And then the rest is history, but he was a lovely person and it was a lovely show. And I enjoyed it. I just was madly in love with these other people.”

The producer couldn’t be more wrong as the show would go on to become one of the most celebrated sitcoms ever made. Aniston’s career would forever be defined by that project and she still feels immensely grateful for being in the show where she also got to make lifelong friends that remain to this day.

Jennifer Aniston is currently in her 50s but she looks as young and fit as ever. She recently talked about how she maintains to keep herself physically and mentally healthy and stable. She told CR Fashion Book,

“I drink a lot of water, move my body daily, try to eat whole, fresh foods, and get as much sleep as I can. That last part is challenging for me, but it’s so important. I feel it when I don’t get enough rest. I try to be really mindful about what I let into my headspace. That likely means less binge-watching cable news. Our world is really going through some challenges, and I know we all care a lot, but sometimes I think it’s imperative that we turn off the noise. I’ve been motivated to work out in a way I haven’t been in years. I look forward to the challenging classes, and I feel stronger and more comfortable in my body when I’m doing it.”

In 2023, Aniston starred in Murder Mystery 2 alongside Adam Sandler. She is currently starring in the third season of the hit Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show.
