A lot of this excitement can be attributed to Matt Reeve’s ambitious plans for the sequel. Rebranded as Elseworlds storyline, The Batman Part II would be developed in accordance with the future potential spin-offs. But can it take over the $29 billion worth studio’s Avengers movie?
What to expect from The Batman II?
Reportedly, filming for The Batman II is not expected to commence until the end of 2023. Originally scheduled for release on October 3, 2025, the movie has encountered a halt owing to the ongoing WGA Writers’ Strike. Hence, it is conjectured that the production phase might now begin only in 202 with some scenes likely to be shot in London.
In terms of the cast, Robert Pattinson might be reprising his role as Batman alongside Jeffery Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis and Alfred Pennyworth, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Penguin, and Paul Dano as Riddler. Moreover, there are rumors suggesting the return of Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face.
