Several details about the upcoming title have been leaked on a Reddit post, including comparisons made to a classic FPS. A Digital Foundry member has also recently spoken about the game, hinting at what was seen in a behind-closed-doors first look. Leaks are always better taken with a huge grain of salt so it’s advised this leak be treated the same.

Co-founder and Creative Director at Neon Giant Games, Tor Frick, was also mentioned to have updated his official account on X, where he mentions he is “currently working on a nextgen Cyberpunk immersive sim” and that he is currently hiring for the same.

A Digital Foundry member, Alexander Battaglia also commented after having managed to get hands-on with the game at last year’s Gamescom event, behind closed doors. Battaglia spoke briefly about the game towards the end of a video posted on their YouTube channel where the main discussion was about S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2.

Battaglia revealed the game which was still untitled at the time he got a demo of it, made the most of Unreal Engine 5’s potential to push the visuals to the maximum. He was rather hesitant to call the game an “immersive sim” when suggested by a co-host in the video.

Battaglia went on to mention that the game reminded him of Deus Ex based on the “description of the gameplay, interactivity level and the granular detail of all the AI“. As for the visuals, he mentioned it looked a lot like Cyberpunk-esque, with a large open world with dense environments.

Fans replied with positive hopes going by what was revealed in the leak. A lot of comments showed excitement about the Cyberpunk 2077 comparisons. A sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 shouldn’t be coming out anytime soon so one comment mentioned how this title should fill the void until then. Another comment mentioned the game could end up bettering Cyberpunk 2077.

One other comment mentioned that if the project ends up being made the right way, it could springboard Neon Giant “into the limelight“. Neon Giant’s 2021 title The Ascent was also appreciated by several users in the comments section of the post. The Ascent was nominated for the Action Game of the Year award at the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards in 2021.
