The Brother’s Sun episode “Country Boy” is the funniest episode of the season. The sixth chapter of the Sun family begins with Charles using a local contact for a safe house. Now, whether it was a rental or he knows him, Charles, Bruce, Xing, and June stay at John Cho’s beachside home. Yes, that John Cho.

When they arrive, the entire home has paintings and pictures dedicated to the Searching, Columbus, and Harold & Kumar stars. Even the doorbell, when rung, has the actor’s voice singing. (At least, I hope that’s his voice.) When you ring the bell, John Cho belts out, “Ding dong, ding dong. This is John Cho, and this is my house.”

Who rang the bell? Well, it’s Grace, Bruce’s crush, who he invites over. Yes, this seems to defeat the purpose of a safe house, but you can’t mess with such pure young love, can you? Besides, Charles signed off on her coming over.

Netflix’s The Brothers Sun Season 1 Episode 6 Recap: Who does Bruce see at the soup kitchen?

When Grace convinces Bruce (Sam Song Li) to leave the safe house to see where she volunteers, everyone is wearing red ribbons around their wrists. Yes, the same ribbon Eileen found at the apartment with the policeman with the tattoo that said, “The Riddance of Evil Must Be Thorough.” To get Bruce out of the house, she manipulates the sweet man.

Grace told him a story about how her parents came to America to give her a better life. However, they were put into indentured servitude. She put a sweet little bow on the story, saying how they are now free. However, the real story is something far darker. The Triads killed him in front of Grace’s mother. They then cut off his head, then fed it to the pigs.

What Grace wants is the location of Eileen (Michelle Yeoh). She has the “rolodex” of all the Triad gang leadership across the world. Bruce, instead of ratting out his mother, says he has the entire list in his header. Grace has him write the names down on paper. We aren’t sure if they are correct. Most likely, they are fake. The deal is if he gives up the info, Grace must leave Eileen and Charles alone.

Who does Alexis tell Charles?

Alexis (Highdee Kuan) tells Charles, “I don’t know what you are talking about. Don’t call me again.” This is after Charles calls her to apologize. The issue is that the phone is bugged and being tracked. When Charles calls her, the squad sees who he is calling. Alexis is in the room, looking mortified.

Charles (Justin Chien) put his heart out there, and it’s now crushed. (He didn’t know the circumstances of where Alexis was at the time.) He is now angry. That’s a good thing for TK, who is being held at a gold range, tied to a chair.

Why? Well, that’s because a bunch of gangsters from Korea Town are using his as a practice to hit gold balls at his body. Charles displaces his feelings toward the gangsters. To save TK, he kills what has to be at least 30 armed. All while someone sings “Try to Love Again” by The Eagles in Mandarin.
