In a world where we still see battle royale games coming out every few weeks, Naraka stood out for its incredible gameplay that required a lot of practice and skill to master fully. The game doesn’t use the stale formula of battle royale games and instead brings new striking aspects to the table. However, one aspect that’s been carefully crafted by 24 Entertainment allows Naraka to have an edge over games such as Call of Duty and Helldivers 2.

Things That Give Naraka: Bladepoint Edge Over Popular Games Like Call of Duty and Helldivers 2

There’s no doubt that Naraka: Bladepoint brings a unique twist to the typical battle royale genre. Instead of a modern-day setting with explosives and guns, players take control of characters with powerful abilities in a feudal Chinese setting. However, Naraka shines compared to other popular titles like Call of Duty and Helldivers 2 because of its customization and in-game systems.

Naraka offers a huge selection of customization for all its heroes and various aspects of the game. Although deep character customization is a staple of any battle royale title, Naraka surpasses what is usually available. That’s not all; powerful in-game systems such as Gylphs and SoulsJade are incredibly fun and can give players an edge over their opponents.

In an interview with GamerRant, Naraka‘s Marketing Manager, Rayalan Kwan, gave players insight into the developers’ approach and how they decided to add these extra levels of progression in the game.

Well, that’s a good question. Because the concept of our game is “unchained battle royale.” With “unchained,” we don’t want to give any restriction to the players, but in fact, we are trying to give as much freedom to our players as possible. So, first, we let them customize their whole face to make whatever faces they want. During the development, we thought we needed to give more freedom to players to customize and develop their own playstyle.

According to Kwan, Naraka‘s concept focuses on an “unchained battle royale” that doesn’t restrict players in any way. The developers want players to customize things to their liking in whatever manner they want.

Apart from in-game systems like SoulJades and weapons, different level of weapons, we were thinking we could give them a unique meta in our game. This can also allow them to develop something different. Our goal is, in one match with 60 players, each player will have their own playstyle with the help of the talents system and in-game SoulJades system.

24 Entertainemnt’s main goal while developing crafting systems such as SoulJades and Gylphs was to allow each player in their matches to have a unique playstyle that allows them to compete at the highest level possible. It’s clear that the developers didn’t want to expand on the same old battle royale formula and aimed to deliver that ended up becoming a massive hit among fans.

Naraka is truly a one-of-a-kind battle royale that takes a different route than popular games such as Fortnite and PUBG. If you’re still wondering if the game is worth playing in 2024, the obvious answer is yes! You certainly don’t want to miss out on this title.

Despite the game’s issues, Naraka offers quick and easy-to-grasp gameplay. It’s certainly more beginner-friendly than titles such as Fortnite, where new players tend to get overwhelmed. The game focuses primarily on the melee system and features 18 unique characters who combine different weapon choices and abilities.
