Navy Pilots sat down with CBS’s 60 Minutes to share their flight academy experience and thoughts on the 2022 action drama starring Tom Cruise. And most of them seemed pretty impressed with the flying scenes in the movie. Admiral Samuel Paparo said that he was highly impressed with the “realism in Top Gun: Maverick.”

Lt. Cmdr. Patrick Tucker also shared a similar opinion, saying, “The flying is fairly accurate, to an extent. The camera shots in the aircraft were…real.” However, he also found some of the things that seem to lose touch with reality in Top Gun: Maverick.
