Nexon’s The First Descendant has been out for over two weeks now. The game is a third-person looter shooter powered and sees players play as a Descendant and fight aliens for the survival of humanity.
The overall game has impressed the fans but there are still issues that needs to be fixed. But one needs to be taken care of as soon as possible as players have noticed that all The First Descendant builds have a common problem.
Nexon Needs to Fix This Issue in The First Descendant
To build Descendants in The First Descendant, players need four parts; core, catalyst, stabilizer, and cells. All these require specific set of resources and should be crafted beforehand. One player has said that there is a issue in the builds due to the catalysts.
Reddit user Beej-000 said that they’ve seen a lot of builds lately and the overconsumption of Crystallization Catalysts is the one common thing in all of them. And the conclusion they’ve come to players using a lot of catalysts in TFD builds for a single character is because the module are too expensive.
Looking at the modules, they also uncovered that “1/3rd of all the modules in the game are +16 max capacity.” They also compared this to Warframe’s modules as it is an inspiration and competitor of the game.
Current Module Capacity is not Healthy for Build Variety…

The player said that Warframe has nearly 750 more mods than The First Descendant but there are “only 63 mods in game that cost +16 mod capacity.” Nexon needs to address the module capacity and OP have said that the developer should bring a QoL update or a hotfix to fix this.
Players Agree That a Fix Needs to Come Soon
Despite the issues and flaws, players have loved The First Descendant so far. Nexon too has been actively trying to make experience more fun. Players like trying new builds but this issue has been ruining the experience for them.
Fans have agreed to the OP and have said that these builds take a lot of time and effort to make and Nexon should bring some adjustments.

One player said that the developer should allow players unlock a slot and change it whenever.

Another player said, “Just let us unlock each polarity for each slot so we can just use a drop down menu on each mod slot to select the polarity.” Several fan have said that this is the most realistic solution to the issue.
Some players have said that they are okay to work for upgrades. However, the main problem is with slot lock. Players have added that this issue has been in the game since launch but hasn’t been addressed yet.
Nexon needs to work on this as soon as possible if it doesn’t want to risk players being less interested the game. What are your thoughts about this problem in The First Descendant? Let us know in the comments.
