They don’t understand why they should waste mod space to maximize their ammo if it ultimately does nothing. This problem is especially annoying because it’s not just about losing ammo; it also affects their entire gameplay experience.

Another issue is that the drones that used to give ammo no longer do so. This means players start off with less than the maximum ammo they can carry, and if enemies don’t drop any, they run out too fast. It’s a big problem that makes the game harder and less enjoyable, rather than doing the opposite.

Players are also getting tired of the constant grind. The same battles taking place over and over again, with just different backgrounds and a lack of variety, are burning them out.

The game’s mechanics and repetitive nature are making it less enjoyable, and this is definitely a big issue in the community right now, with plenty of players constantly complaining about this rather frustrating repetition.

Managing Ammo in The First Descendant

Running out of ammo is a common issue for players, as you can see from plenty of posts on the subreddit, but there are some strategies to manage it better. Enemies drop ammo when defeated, and players can pick it up to refill their supplies, so definitely keep an eye out for this.

There are four types of ammo in The First Descendant, each color-coded for different weapon types. Players will need to pay close attention to these.

Players can find resource boxes scattered across the zones and destroy them to replenish their ammo. Interacting with resource droids found all over the map provides ammo as well. These droids not only replenish ammo but also restore HP, making them extremely important and useful.

During some difficult boss fights, having a steady supply of ammo is important. Players should focus on attacking the mobs that spawn throughout the battle, as these smaller enemies often drop various types of aforementioned ammo upon defeating them.

To avoid running out of ammunition, it is best to not rely solely on one weapon class and try out a bunch of different weapon types. This also helps save existing ammo and take advantage of the different ammo drops from the defeated mobs of enemies.

Doing all of these things will definitely help players keep their ammo in check and not lead to the constant frustration of running out of it at the worst of times.
