Right now, a lot of players are obsessed with playing as Bunny in The First Descendant, but we can’t blame them as Nexon Games may have failed to make other characters appealing. The game features many characters that players can choose from, but some need a buff if Nexon wants the community to try them out.
The First Descendant is indeed very engaging and exciting, but it definitely needs some changes in order to attract more gamers. The game is also filled with hackers, so implementation of a stronger anti-cheat system is needed as well.
Some Characters in The First Descendant Are Underwhelming
In a viral post on r/TheFirstDescendant, a gamer shared his views on The First Descendant after spending more than 200 hours playing the game. In the post, the player also talked about one of the biggest problems in The First Descendant right now: the underpowered nature of some characters.

The player pointed out some issues with various characters in the game:
- Kyle: This character has potential but needs some reworking, particularly his Exclusive Ability and Passive abilities.
- Esiemo: This character needs a buff as other characters in the game perform much better and more efficiently.
- Yujin: Weak healing and his abilities aren’t very fascinating either.
- Ajax: The player claims that Ajax suffers from a similar problem as Kyle although his reviving ability can be very useful.
- Jayber: Seems like a good character but apparently, his entire kit is currently broken.
- Blair: Another character that has a lot of potential but needs some rework.
Right now, many players prefer to use Bunny but most of these players forget that they have this one useful ability that they can use to make things much easier for everyone else.
The First Descendant Needs a Lot of Improvements

Not just characters but a lot of other things need to be worked on in The First Descendant such as guns, gameplay, technical issues, and hackers. We can expect Nexon Games to address these issues in the next patch.
All issues aside, The First Descendant is an entertaining game, and it’s safe to say that gamers love the game. The game was released 15 days ago, and it has already surpassed 10 million players and this number is only expected to grow over time.
Another thing that players hate about the game is the insane microtransactions. Players will have to pay up to $100 to buy enough Caliber to buy one Ultimate Descendant bundle.
The First Descendant was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X on July 2, 2024. As per Metacritic, the free-to-play game received “mixed or average reviews,” but it certainly has a lot of potential.
