Alongside characters, players have various types of weapons and tools to help them defeat waves of enemies and bosses. While this combination provides a great experience, players are still frustrated that they can’t use these tools freely outside battle.

Players Want The First Descendant to Change Tools Cooldown System

Ever since its launch, The First Descendant has been very popular but has also faced various issues such as microtransactions, unfair character balance, and bugs. Yet, players were happy to ignore these issues because the gameplay was fun, and defeating waves of enemies or taking on a Boss with friends was exciting. to say the least.

However, players have recently started raising frustration about one of the tools cooldown (CD), Grappling Hook. It is one of the most fun tools to use as it helps players climb big buildings or also helps in battle (closing the gap or getting away). The issue is when used outside the battle, the tool still has the cooldown which hinders the smooth flow of the exploration (removes fun).

Reddit User, Wyck_Titalus, recently raised this issue in The First Descendant community, leading to many players agreeing with the post. This has created a huge buzz and players are saying that it removes the fun out of the mechanic and in reality slows them down.

This thread shows that players are always looking to add some fun in and outside battle. While the battle in the game is already fun because of the characters’ abilities, making the few tools have no CD outside battle, especially grappling hook cooldown would tingle the player’s creativity even more.

The studio has not only accepted that some various bugs and issues need fixing but it also has already released a few patches to fix some of the issues. This has created a lot of faith in players as they are looking to enjoy the game for years to come.
