The Flash is the DC film that has the most riding on its shoulders. The Andy Muschietti directed superhero film is rumored to reset the DC universe and usher in the new DCU while bidding farewell to the old DCEU. The first trailer released at Superbowl was met with a massive positive reception online. However, all that goodwill might be lost if Warner Bros. Discovery screens the film in its entirety at CinemaCon. After all, if leaks for the film get out, then forget ushering in the DCU, it might tank the last dregs of any positive reputation the DC live-action universe has left.

The Flash Will Screen At CinemaCon

Variety reports that Warner Bros. Discovery is planning to screen the hotly anticipated The Flash film at CinemaCon. The event will take place from April 24 to April 27 in Las Vegas at the Colosseum, Caesars Palace. All the major studios are expected to bring their first-look trailers, sizzle reels of movies, and the stars of those films at the annual gathering. The event is held to show exhibitors what’s coming to their screens soon.

This isn’t the first time a studio has shown a full film to the CinemaCon crowd. Just last year, Paramount showed Top Gun: Maverick in its entirety as well and that film wrecked havoc at the box office. Warner Bros Discovery will surely want to repeat the same by trying to convince the theater managers and cineplex honchos that their superhero film is going to shake the global box office records.

Variety reports that Warner Bros Discovery is insanely confident in the film. As per the outlet:

“It is yet another sign of Warner Bros.’ passionate support of the project, one that has been saddled with controversy due to trouble surrounding star Ezra Miller.”

During the press meet for the new DCU slate release, DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran were supportive of Miller’s recovery after the actor admitted to unlawful trespassing during a Vermont burglary. They said:

“Ezra is completely committed to their recovery and we are fully supportive of that journey that they’re on right now.”

However, past troubles caused by the now-recovering Ezra Miller aren’t the only thing the company needs to worry about. They need to be wary of the leaks that might come out of the big event.

Will The Flash Get Leaked From CinemaCon?

Whether The Flash gets leaked from CinemaCon or not, is something only time will tell. But if it gets spoiled, fan interest in it will severely drop after the trailer did a brilliant job of hyping up everyone about it. There’s keen fan interest, especially for the ending of the movie as it’s supposed to have a cameo appearance that will tie the past of DC with the future.

Also, audiences are excited to know how Miller’s Barry Allen ended up with Michael Keaton’s Batman. Not to mention the fact that the introduction of Sasha Calle’s unique-looking Supergirl has stirred up plenty of discussion about the plot of the film. As such, a leak will be disastrous, not just for the movie but also for the future of the DC universe that is trying to stand up and prove itself as a franchise worthy of audience attention under its new heads, James Gunn and Peter Safran.

However, DC fans shouldn’t start biting their nails already. Last year, nothing regarding Top Gun: Maverick leaked to the general audiences. So there are high hopes that the same will happen with The Flash. After all, the event is for industry people and not fans. As such, there’s hope that leaks will be kept to a minimum if not zero. But it will be interesting to see the reactions from Hollywood professionals when the highly anticipated movie premieres at CinemaCon.
