When From Software’s Bloodborne was released in 2015, they brought players something they had wanted for quite some time, a new world and gameplay but like the same framework from the Dark Souls series. There has been no information about any sequel but gamers have been asking for a Bloodborne Remaster for nearly half a decade and it looks like they might be close to getting one.

Leaks Reveal Sony Could Announce Bloodborne Remaster Soon

As per the reports by Reddit user, I’m A Hero, who has previously correctly reported about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Persona 3 before the games were even announced by developers Atlas, predicted that the State of Play will be held in September and it will entirely focus on Asian games. They also added that Sony will surely reveal Project: The Perceiver, a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4, and could also announce Persona 6.

The leaker says that the State of Play might finally have the Bloodborne Remaster announcement with other details on previously announced games. There have been talks about the game for years and sometimes it was said that “Sony never considered such a project”, completely quashing the chances for a remaster and also “the game is almost ready”, keeping the hopes of gamers alive.

Potential Release Date for Bloodborne Remaster

The leaker said that the potential release date that PlayStation is eyeing for the game is sometime in 2025, claiming that the game is already in development. The reason behind the release window could be that PlayStation wants to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic game by From Software. Opposite to the first-party remasters in the past, Nixxes is spearheading the Bloodborne remaster and not Bluepoint.

It is, however, yet unknown if the remaster will be coming to PCs or not. Considering how PlayStation has been trying to make an interesting PC game library with PlayStration4 games getting ports for PC, it is highly likely that it could make its way to PC.

Still, despite these leaks and speculation, it is fitting that the Bloodborne fanbase gets the Remaster and these leaks keep them on their toes. The release of the game at its 10th anniversary seems perfect, but the question remains if these expectations will hold or not.
