The music video has reportedly crossed over 32 million views in just four days. The viewership seems to be miles ahead of Carpenter’s contemporaries such as Taylor Swift who also recently released her music video. While some attribute the increase to Ortega and Carpenter’s kiss in the video, a new queen of pop might just be on the horizon.

The actress/singer recently went viral with her two singles Espresso and Please Please Please’ from her upcoming album Short n’ Sweet.
Carpenter recently released her latest single Taste along with a music video. A homage to classic horror films of the ‘80s and the ‘90s, the video saw her share the screen with actress Jenna Ortega, engaging in a gory battle for a common boyfriend. One of the most spoken-about aspects of the video is the kiss shared between the two popular actresses.
Now, the music video seems to have surpassed the view counts of Taylor Swift’s latest music video I Can Do With A Broken Heart. While Swift’s video clocked in 12 million views in the past week, Taste seems to have 32 million in four days.
Carpenter also seems to have surpassed the view count of Ariana Grande’s This Boy Is Mine music video, which clocked in 28 million views and was released two months ago.

Her latest music video with Jenna Ortega has already become a sensation due to the viral kiss between the two icons. However, the interest in the song might also be related to its rumored subject matter.
Taste sees Sabrina Carpenter addressing the new girlfriend of an ex-boyfriend, indicating her presence everywhere. The lyrics even go on to mention that the new girl would taste her while she is kissing him.
