However now, the fans are rallying behind him to snag the role of Wally West in the DC universe. The irony of it all adds a hilarious twist to the mix.

Jack Quaid Auditioned for James Gunn’s Superman!

Everybody knows that David Corenswet is taking on the iconic role of Superman in James Gunn’s DC universe, and has their own opinion about it. What adds a twist to the story is that Jack Quaid, from The Boys, also threw his hat into the ring for the role.

Despite sending in a self-tape audition, Quaid’s journey towards donning the cape didn’t go beyond that initial step. During a candid chat on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he opened up about this unexpected turn in his superhero auditioning adventures. He said,

I didn’t get very far,–I put myself on tape and it went nowhere, and that’s fine. I’m totally cool with it.

He also talked about his opinion on Corenswet filling in the shoes,

I know David Corenswet–He’s one of those people you meet, and you go ‘Oh yeah…whenever they need another [Superman], it’s probably going to be you.

Now, although he missed out on a chance to play a superhero, this statement itself is very amusing to The Boys fans. They mischievously have another role in mind for the actor, which makes the situation even more hilarious.

Hughie’s life turned upside down after A-Train smashed through his girlfriend Robin. The chaos that unraveled started all because of that one incident, in The Boys. And now, after fighting A-Train relentlessly, for so long, Jack Quaid, the man behind Hughie Campbell, might just race into the DC universe as Wally West. Despite missing out on Superman, fans are still eager to see him in DC, with many suggesting Wally West as the perfect fit.

Wally West, aka Wallace Rudolph West, is a beloved superhero in DC Comics, known for his roles as the original Kid Flash and the third Flash. His primary ability is, wait for it, superhuman speed! He made his debut in Flash #110. Fans are thrilled at the prospect of him stepping into superhero boots, especially after his adventures in taking down the supes!
