Avatar: The Last Airbender has a star-studded cast. Among them, playing Avatar Roku is CS Lee. Known for his various acting roles, from the Sopranos to Family Guy, the South Korean actor has quite a storied history when it comes to playing characters on prestige television.
While Lee was listed to play Roku before the SAG-AFTRA strike began, now that the negotiations have finally been concluded, more shows can announce casting decisions as actors like Lee can now sign contracts and take care of other paperwork. Fans in particular are hyped with one casting announcement, that of the actor joining Cobra Kai for its sixth and final season.
Fans are beyond excited for CS Lee’s entry into the franchise.
Lee has been cast as the martial arts extraordinaire, Master Kim Sun-Young in the sixth season of Cobra Kai, according to Collider. The character has a minor role in Karate Kid and Cobra Kai, but it would not be surprising if the character picked up additional screen time. Fans would definitely enjoy it, given the reactions online:

Clearly, the fans are hyped for the inclusion of the legendary actor playing the iconic role in the series. The character has yet to make a full-length appearance in the franchise. Given that shooting for the show is expected to start in the first quarter of 2024, fans can rest assured that the character will receive an adequate amount of screen time before the show’s final series releases in 2025.
What can we expect from Cobra Kai Season 6?
In the last season of Cobra Kai, which premiered in September of 2022, The Miyagi Do Dojo and Eagle Fang Dojo found themselves in some hot water. After Cobra Kai managed to steal the victory in the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver took the dojo across the valley under his wing, but not before enlisting a star sensei from South Korea: Kim Da Eun.
Kim D Eun is the granddaughter of CS Lee’s character, Master Kim Sun-Young. In the in-universe narrative of the character, Young was part of an effort to teach American soldiers unarmed combat during the Second World War. The character is also credited for the creation of ‘The Way of the Fist’, a ruthless style of close-quarters hand-to-hand combat.
