But fans trying the games is one thing, and actors who would play certain roles in the adaptations of games trying them out is another. The original Last of Us was a good enough game, and despite being The Walking Dead with extra steps, it had a bunch of new ideas. Moreover, the fact that it was a game allowed players to have a deeper connection with the characters involved in its story.

Everyone out there was blown away; no one had seen such a video game before. It became a huge success for Sony and went on to win a bunch of accolades too, including a BAFTA. It changed people’s opinions about video games; now they know video games are capable of telling meaningful stories.

This inspired Naughty Dog to start working on a sequel as soon as possible. The sequel was launched back in 2020 for the PlayStation 4 console. It looked incredible and played better than its predecessor. But depending on who you ask, it either had a badly written sad story or it was an excellent representation of the cycle of revenge and its side effects.

Yet, the game once again became a massive success, and it went on to win even more awards than its prequel. But to this day, fans have a polarizing opinion on The Last of Us: Part 2. Some love it very much, while others just do not care for it.

And that’s why, when actress Isabela Merced suggested that she loved Part 2, many could not believe it. They are just not able to accept it. For those unaware, Isabela Merced would play the role of Dina in Last of Us Season 2. Dina was the love interest of Ellie in the game.

“Yeah. I have been a fan of the series. I actually hadn’t played the game until I found out about me potentially being in it, but I only played the second game and that was such an experience. I had a lot of fun. People say, ‘How did you have fun playing it? It’s a very sad story.’ But it’s just so well-made.”

While a polarizing fan response to a game is always understandable, one cannot understand why anyone would not believe someone loves it. Its story might not be very good, but The Last of Us: Part 2 is a very polished third-person survival horror, stealth action game.

The developers have designed it to reward players for being dynamic. They can choose the way they want to play; they can kill who they want, and they can spare who they want.

People everywhere are pretty excited for the second season of the hit 2023 show. There are several reasons for that; the biggest reason is that most people don’t know where it would go. Those who played the second game, of course, are aware, but not everyone is.

Showrunners have mentioned that they have plans to make some changes to the story. Just the way they did for the first season, fans cannot help but wonder and speculate what’s to come their way.
