The Last of Us Dominated the Creative Arts Emmys While the Bear Secured a Three-Way Tie for the Second Place

While releasing so early generally hinders a show or film’s chances to make it big in the Award season, this certainly hasn’t been the case for Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey’s The Last of Us. On the first night, the show bagged 8 wins, which included wins for Nick Offerman and Storm Reid for Best Guest Actor and Actress. At second place, it was a three-way tie between Netflix’s Wednesday, HBO’s The White Lotus, and the highly acclaimed The Bear, starring Jeremy Allen White, which has been deemed one if not the best show 2023 has to offer.

Following The Last of Us‘ domination in the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, fans of the show took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to flower the show with laudation, stating it was well deserved.

Pedro Pascal’s The Last of Us Went Unnoticed at the Golden Globes

Although the Jeremy Allen-led show failed to surpass Pedro Pascal’s The Last of Us on the first night of the Emmys, the comedy shined at the Golden Globes with three wins. Opposed to Pascal and Bella Ramsey, who failed to win Best Actor and Actress accolades for drama, Allen and his costar Ayo Edebiri scored wins for Best Actor and Actress in a TV Series, Musical, or Comedy. The show itself won the Award for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, while another HBO outing, Succession defeated The Last of Us for  Best Television Series, Drama.
