Johnny Depp Almost Had a Dialect Confusion

Being originally from Kentucky, it is quite difficult to understand Johnny Depp’s ethnicity through his accent. It’s because the actor’s accent often goes from Bostonian, to Australian, to god knows what else. And apparently, this happened because of Depp’s one rule, that he follows while preparing for a movie.

The last thing I want to look like is myself. Yeah. I always felt it was important to escape. I always figured if I did the same thing over and over, I’ll not only bore myself but I’ll bore the audience. You know.”

Thus, Depp impressively transformed himself into his onscreen character. This although led him to have dialect confusion, the actor undoubtedly delivered a phenomenal performance.
