Sony has recently pushed the latest system update for the console, but fans still have a few features on the wishlist, and they have no clear idea about when they will be implemented.

As per an article published on the official PlayStation blog on March 13, 2024, the system update has been rolled out globally, and the PlayStation app will receive an update later this month. Some improvements implemented in the update will enhance the console owners’ experience.

The enhancements are as follows:

Audio input and output enhancements for the DualSense

As part of the recent update, the following improvements will be applied to the controller:

  • Louder sound from the controller’s built-in speaker.
  • The controller’s built-in microphone has been improved to enhance noise cancellation using an AI model.
  • If one desires, one can adjust the volume of the sounds coming from the controller from the control center.

Share screen interactions and enhancements.

While it doesn’t directly affect the core gameplay experience, console owners will appreciate the following changes:

  • Viewers can interact with the shared screen using pointers, draw lines, and annotate areas to guide the player.
  • They can also add emoji reactions to express their feelings about in-game actions.
  • The feature will be rolled out later for the PlayStation app, but users can turn it off.
