When DC levied the responsibility to create Man of Steel on Zack Snyder and his wife/producer Deborah Snyder, they immediately chose Amy Adams to play the role of Superman’s love interest Lois Lane. Watching her previous works, the couple brought the actress on board as they felt she had all the tools needed to play the character.

He’s the nicest person on top of being just a wonderful actor and wonderful looking. He’s also got this great humility and he does a really great job in the role. He’s got a great sense of humor, but he’s not cheeky at all, so… I kind of wish he’d misbehaved!”
