After weeks of private conversations with Kanye West, who lost many of his lucrative deals following his anti-Semitic remarks in 2022, Donald Trump invited the rapper to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. While this dinner was meant to be uneventful, in which Trump intended to lend some advice to Ye after his controversies, West wasn’t alone in visiting Trump at Mar-a-Lago club for a dinner.

In his visit to Mar-a-Lago, Kanye West wasn’t alone, as he was joined by three other guests, one of them being the controversial Nick Fuentes. Following the latter’s history, Donald Trump was reportedly taken aback by his appearance, even though he later claimed he had no idea who Fuentes was.

As the story goes, the whole thing became a lightning rod for headlines, and Trump’s longtime advisor held Fuentes responsible for the whole meeting with West becoming a PR disaster for Trump. Moreover, considering the next day saw Ye claiming that “Trump is really impressed with Nick Fuentes”, the advisor, who didn’t disclose their identity, said:

The master troll got trolled. Kanye punked Trump.

However, per reports, it wasn’t Fuentes’ appearance that ruffled Trump’s feathers but West’s alleged comments, as the latter apparently called out Trump for “not doing enough to help pay the legal bills of those arrested in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots”. This reportedly led to Trump taking shots at the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian, with whom Ye parted ways in 2022.

Speaking of the whole dinner fiasco, Trump later called West “a seriously troubled man” for bringing the controversial political figure into his club, as Trump insisted that he was tricked into meeting Fuentes.

He shows up with 3 people, two of which I didn’t know, the other a political person who I haven’t seen in years. I told him don’t run for office, a total waste of time, can’t win. Fake News went CRAZY

However, it seems Ye and Trump have mended things, as West went on record to reiterate his support for the latter in 2024.

Although the Home Alone star stressed that the Runaway rapper “is a really nice guy”, he elaborated that Ye is also a very complicated person.

Let’s say complicated because he is. He’s a really nice guy, but he can get some people into trouble. And he can get some other people. He’s got a good heart — he does, he does, but he’s complicated.

As for the whole dinner setup, Milo Yiannopoulos, who was Ye’s political advisor, claimed he was the architect behind it, stressing he wanted to throw off Trump’s PR team.
