Jennifer Aniston may have married only twice, but it hasn’t altered her dating history by any margin. While Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux were the two lucky lads who could tie the knot with her (even though both marriages didn’t work), Vince Vaughn was included in her long list of lovers. But even when it didn’t work, the couple split their ways on amicable terms.

That said, Aniston even claimed that, after her divorce from Pitt in 2005, it was none other than Vaughn who seemed to have “literally brought me back to life.” But while their love life was what left both of them with some of the nicest memories of each other, the 54-year-old actor still found one thing about dating the FRIENDS actress unenjoyable: The paparazzi.

Vince Vaughn Disliked the “Paparazzi Side” of Dating Jennifer Aniston

While they were together, Aniston and Vaughn were easily one of the hottest couples in the entire entertainment industry. And rightly so, for even after splitting up, the pair had nothing but tremendous praise and respect for each other. In an interview with Playboy magazine, the Wedding Crashers star even said about Aniston (via ABC News): “You know, she’s great.”

But even though they both enjoyed each other’s company, there were still some elements of it all that bugged Vince Vaughn. For instance, since The Break-Up co-stars were easily two of the most popular names in the industry back then, they also had to deal with severe attention from the media. This was, unarguably, something Vaughn didn’t particularly enjoy.

As the now-54-year-old actor candidly confessed during the interview with Playboy magazine:

For me personally—and I think most well-known actors who are together feel this wayI never enjoyed the paparazzi side of it. You like someone and you’re spending time with them; that’s separate and that was all fine. But I really spent most of that time finding ways not to be drawn into the attention.

Of course, no one enjoys cameras peaking from every other corner or snapping pictures from every other car’s windshield when all they are trying to do is spend some quality time with the people they love. That said, it seems like the FRIENDS actress’ ultra-peaking fame was what contributed to them parting ways to trek along their own respective paths.

Yet, this doesn’t change the way Jennifer Aniston feels about him considering how she can’t help but claim that Vaughn was the one who “brought me back to life” after her tough divorce in 2005.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston was the Happiest with Vince Vaughn

Although the beginning of 2005 wasn’t the kindest to Aniston as she dealt with the blow of separating from her former husband Brad Pitt after five years of marriage, by the summer of that year, the actress found her happy time and escape with Vaughn.

In an interview with Vogue in 2008, nearly two years after splitting with her The Break-Up co-star, she candidly came clean about how happy and full of life she was with The Internship actor. Aniston said (via PEOPLE):

I call Vince my defibrillator. He literally brought me back to life. My first gasp of air was a big laugh! It was great. I love him. He’s a bull in a china shop. He was lovely and fun and perfect for the time we had together. And I needed that. And it sort of ran its course.

Even now, the reasons for which they decided to go their separate ways still remain unknown, with the only thing known is the statement from their reps that said (via PEOPLE), “Jennifer and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be good friends today.” Nonetheless, it seems like the paparazzi aspect played a major role in it.

Yet, even then, it’s commendable how easily Aniston and Vaughn broke the notion that two exes can be the best-est of friends through their incredible love and care for each other even after their break-up.
