Johnson received praise from audiences and he reprised his role in another installment of the series yet he finally bid farewell to the series because of his pretty public feud with the series’ lead actor and producer Vin Diesel.

Dwayne Johnson’s Feud With Vin Diesel

Dwayne Johnson was last seen reprising his role of Luke Hobbs in the 2019 Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The first spin-off series of the decades-old franchise came in the wake of increasing Johnson’s popularity but it turns out that the movie marked the last appearance of the Black Adam star. The Rock took to Instagram to share his building frustration on the sets of Fast & Furious. He didn’t mention any particular names yet it was pretty evident to the internet that he was referring to his muscular co-star Vin Diesel

“My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a*ses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling—you’re right.

He further added,

Bottom line is it’ll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that’s embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part?. Final week on FAST 8 and I’ll finish strong.”

Dwayne Johnson Regret Taking His Feud Online

In an interview, the San Andreas star opened up and shared that he regretted taking the on-set argument online, as he believed that the public should be kept away from differences between actors. Black Adam star admitted that the particular day was a pretty bad day for him. Though Johnson firmly holds on to his statement but still believes all this should have never been posted on social media channels.

“Nothing specific happened, just the same old shit. And that just wasn’t my best day. It caused a firestorm. Yet interestingly enough…[it was] as if every single crew member found their way to me and either quietly thanked me or sent me a note. But, yeah, it wasn’t my best day, sharing that. I shouldn’t have shared that. Because at the end of the day, that goes against my DNA. I don’t share things like that. And I take care of that kind of bullshit away from the public. I meant what I said. For sure. I mean what I say when I say it. But to express it publicly was not the right thing to do.”

Johnson added that there was a meeting between the two superstars after Johnson went public to speak against Vin Diesel and claimed that both the muscular stars agreed to leave their argument there while they accepted their opposite personalities. Making it clear that Johnson will not work in the Fast & Furious series anymore.

“Well, there was a meeting. I wouldn’t call it a peaceful meeting. I would call it a meeting of clarity. He and I had a good chat in my trailer, and it was out of that chat that it really became just crystal clear that we are two separate ends of the spectrum. And agreed to leave it there.”

Though that never ended the two stars’ public argument. As now Diesel went ahead to post and re-invited Johnson to come and reprise his fan-favorite character with an emotional appeal in the 10th installment of the series. Though his effort didn’t impress The Rock who made it once again clear that he will never appear in the Fast & Furious series.
