Billionaire Mark Cuban is planning to leave the American business reality television series Shark Tank after the 16th Season. Although ABC has not yet announced its 16th season. Cuban was a guest shark in the second season and became a regular shark in the show in the third season in 2012.
The Businessman confirmed it in an email to The Hollywood Reporter. But before that, he revealed this last week in the Showtime podcast All The Smoke to hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Cuban has been on the show for more than a decade.
But now, as the owner of Dallas Maverick is leaving, his co-star Barbara Corcoran is now in a problem. The question is who she will team up with?
Barbara Corcoran’s Next Shark Tank Partner, Speculations on Wealthy Pairing
Season 15 premiered in September with returning “sharks” Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary. Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran negotiated a few joint deals on the show.
In a podcast interview with Bloomberg View (Business Insider), Cuban said that he usually avoids joint deals. But, if he decided to pursue one, he particularly enjoys working with Barbara Corcoran because “she’s always got a unique spin on things.”
As per the same outlet, Corcoran stated that “it’s mutual” for her in the case of Cuban. She said that she resonates most with his business approach. As the richest shark is leaving the show, it would be great to see who the businesswoman will cut corners with.
Looks like she will prefer to stick to the wealthiest of sharks, maybe. Since her partner was Cuban, her next choice might be someone similar. It would be great to see who Corcoran would team up with in the upcoming season. But before that, let’s know why the richest shark is leaving the show.

Why Mark Cuban is Leaving Shark Tank?
Mark Cuban said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter that he wants to “have a couple of summers” with his “teens” (children) before they become more independent.
He clarifies that his decision to leave Shark Tank is unrelated to any dissatisfaction with the show because he appreciates “what it represents and how it motivates entrepreneurs around the world.” The businessman said to Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on the podcast:
“I love it because it sends the message the American dream is alive and well. I feel like in doing Shark Tank all these years, we’ve trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs that if somebody can come from Iowa or Sacramento or wherever, and show up on the carpet of Shark Tank and show their business and get a deal, it’s going to inspire generations of kids. That’s what happens, right?”
So, it’s clear the shark’s departure has nothing to do with his malaise for the show. He has his personal reasons, which are obviously valid.
