Many were disappointed and disheartened when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson left the Fast and Furious franchise after starring as Hobbes. His leaving the $6 Billion franchise was an outcome of a feud with Vin Diesel and other male co-stars.

So, when Dwyane Johnson made a surprise cameo at the end of the latest Fast and Furious 10, fans were overjoyed and surprised by this unexpected turn of events. A public feud between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel crushed fans’ ambition to see the two stars share the screen again in the billion-dollar Fast and Furious franchise. Their difference of opinions regarding the franchise and work ethics led to Johnson declaring he has vowed to never return, despite Disel appealing publically to the Race To The Witch Mountain star in an Instagram post. Johnson then responded to the post in an interview, calling Diesel manipulative and scheming.

“Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding.”

Whether Diesel was manipulative or not, or whether the Rock was simply too egoistic and proud to accept others as they are, his reply clearly sounded like he was officially done with Diesel and the franchise. While it does not seem like the feud is over between the two, the reason for Johnson’s return seems more like a personal one than his love and respect for his co-stars and the movies.

While Dwayne Johnson exited the Fast and Furious franchise, he went on to star in million-dollar movies and even got a role as Black Adam in the DC verse. Looked like everything was going pretty well with the Rock professionally. However, after Jungle Crusie’s loss followed by Black Adam‘s miserable failure, his dreams were short-lived when the future movies and spinoffs were dropped, along with him.

All celebrities have their rise and fall. As all fame must one day diminish, seems like the Rock’s charm has been wearing off after a very successful box office career. Despite all, Johnson does not seem to be giving up anytime soon. And this time he has apparently swallowed his pride and ego in an attempt to bring back his past glory after his failed attempt at glory with the DC Universe.

Fast and Furious is one of the biggest franchises of all time, and Dwayne Johnson’s return will only allow for future projects and spinoffs with the Rock in the lead. Furthermore, the Fast and Furious movies are the biggest grossers of the action star’s career since his solo movies have always been somewhat mediocre.

Now, whether he will return to his past glory or if his comeback, following his display of contempt and ego towards Vin Diesel, would lead to his doom, is hard to figure out. Looks like we would have to wait for a few more good years to give the final verdict.

The Fast and Furious 10 is in theatres now.
