WWE legend The Rock stays in the news, always. It certainly looks like The Rock will face Roman Reigns at the WrestleMania 40 main event. The match was previously supposed to take place between Reigns and Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes. But Rhodes dropped out of the match, and Dwayne Johnson took center stage. Many raised questions that The Rock has pushed the match using his power as he has recently been appointed to the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings.
And, it’s visible that Cody Rhodes fans aren’t too happy about the WrestleMania 40 main event with The Rock and Roman Reigns. Johnson has got some words for those fans. During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the Hollywood action star candidly addressed the controversy surrounding his match.
Dwayne Johnson Called Out the Fans of Cody Rhodes as “cry babies”
From the day when it was announced that it would be Dwayne Johnson, not Cody Rhodes who would be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, Rhodes’ fans have kept calling out The Rock alleging him for stealing Cody Rhodes’ spot. Every social media platform has been hijacked. And, now Johnson is giving it back.
The Rock joined The Pat McAfee Show in Las Vegas on Thursday, just hours ahead of the WrestleMania 40 kickoff press event. On the show, Johnson said how he had known Rhodes and his family for years but then quickly targeted his “other passionate fans.” He mocked them by saying:
“I love Cody. I love his passionate fans. Then, there’s the other passionate fans of Cody. And they’re called the, what’s that? Oh, Cody Crybabies. Yeah… these are grown ass men [saying] ‘Cody’s got to finish his story!’…It’s like wait a second, hold on. Hey dad, you want to go outside and play catch with me? ‘Not now! Cody’s got to finish his story and I’m upset!’ The wife comes in. Hey honey, do you want to go have sex? ‘Not now, Cody’s got to finish his story!’”
He has not stopped there. Going further, The Rock said:
“All you gotta do is sit back, know your role, shut your mouth and enjoy the ride. The Rock is gonna take your candy asses on. So hashtag that. Hashtag ‘Shut your b—h asses up,’ Hashtag ‘Cody crybabies.'”
It will be interesting to see how the mob replies to these words from The Rock as he turns heel.
