As one of the biggest names in Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson has consistently ranked among the highest-paid actors in the world. After topping the list in 2016 and coming in second in 2017 and 2018, he regained the top spot in 2019 with an estimated $89.4 million in earnings.

When HBO’s hit series Ballers ended with the fifth and final season in 2019, Dwayne Johnson’s paycheck reflected his status as one of the highest-paid actors on TV. The actor reportedly earned a staggering $700,000 per episode for his role, putting him in rarefied air alongside a small group of actors who made even more.

The only performers to surpass the Ballers star’s earnings were the five original stars of The Big Bang Theory, who raked in $900,000 per episode. Additionally, Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead, Nicole Kidman of Big Little Lies, and Elisabeth Moss of The Handmaind’s Tale reportedly earned a handsome $1 million per episode for their roles.

Dwayne Johnson’s Growing Paychecks Over The Years

When Johnson landed a role in the 2002 film The Scorpion King, he made history by becoming the first actor to earn $5.5 million for his debut starring role. Soon after, he played the lead role in Walking Tall, receiving a handsome $15 million for his role. In his portrayal of a bounty hunter in the 2003 film The Rundown, the actor reportedly made $12.5 million.

San Andreas is one of Johnson’s biggest paydays ever. The actor reportedly made $25 million for the 2015 action-adventure film. With the hit 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the actor reportedly earned a cool $19 million. The Rock has also acted in comedy films, such as Central Intelligence, where he joined forces with Kevin Hart and made $14 million for his role.

His 2017 movie reboot of the popular TV series Baywatch might have tanked at the box office, but the actor still managed to make $9 million. Johnson has also starred in Fast and Furious 5, where he reportedly made $10 million for his role as Hobbs. He also earned a similar paycheck for the sixth installment in the franchise. However, for the franchise spinoff Hobbs and Shaw, the actor took home a paycheck of $20 million for starring alongside Jason Statham.
