And even though the probability of a Maguire starring Spider-Man movie seems a little far-fetched considering the actor’s age, fans have come up with another theory for the actor’s future. Many have come forward with the opinion that Maguire should mark his return in a Miles Morales movie, where he can play the mentor to a young Spider-Man.
Tobey Maguire is the best fit to mentor Miles Morales in live-action
Considering the mainstream success of Miles Morales in several mediums, including video games, animation, and comics, it’s not impractical to assume that Sony might try to convey the success in live-action. And considering that MCU is piling up its fourth Spider-Man movie, a Miles Morales movie with Tobey Maguire as the mentor, might be the key to Sony’s success.
Although some have speculated that Miles Morales may mark his debut under the leadership of Tom Holland, fans have argued that Holland is still too young to train a young Morales. So Sony should release Morales under their belt, where the movie can mark the entry of Tobey Maguire as the wise and old Spidey, who can mentor and train Morales just like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Fans want Tobey Maguire to return in a live-action Miles Morales movie
With speculations hovering over the internet, fans are coming forward in support of the theory of Maguire mentoring a young Morales in the live-action. As fans can be able to witness a wise Peter Parker guiding Morales to becoming his best version and it may be the perfect opportunity to conclude Maguire’s story by passing the torch to Morales in a heartwarming fashion.

Even though these are all just theories hovering on the Internet, this may be the best way to perfectly conclude the story of the most iconic Spider-Man and begin the journey of a new one. And apart from fan emotions, this may also fulfill Sony’s vision of crafting their cinematic universe revolving around Spider-Man.
