Starfield is coming to Xbox GamePass as a Day One launch tomorrow when the game goes live for gamers who purchased the game’s Standard Edition. Some of the Early Access gamers have already completed the game before the official launch, with a speedrunner holding the record at the time of writing at just less than 3 hours. As much as the game is being celebrated by the gaming community, there are gamers who have shared the shortcomings found in the game.

Starfield is touted to be Bethesda’s masterpiece, as the space adventure is said to have the least bugs and glitches, compared to Bethesda’s old titles. Gamers have shared one aspect in the game, however, that’s comparable to Skyrim, much to their disappointment.

Starfield Speedrunner Ends Game Less Than 3 Hours In, Main Campaign is Not as Long as Predicted Earlier

Starfield is said to take over 180 hours for gamers to cover all aspects of the game

The first new title from Bethesda to come out in 25 years, Starfield is a massive interstellar adventure waiting for players to explore. The game features 1,000 planets for gamers to explore, while not all of them are said to be inhabited. Starfield also has its share of side-quests, which along with the main campaign was said to take a substantial time to complete.

A speedrunner has already completed the campaign, however, in less than three hours. A YouTuber by the name of Micrologist has already posted their full gameplay video that shows the gameplay lasting exactly 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 42 seconds. This should sound quite impressive, and once the game is out for all gamers, it’s a safe bet to assume this run would be annihilated.

For completionists out there, however, the game is said to take just over 180 hours to complete every aspect of the game. For those looking to just play the main campaign, Starfield might consume close to 20 hours or less, and an additional 30 hours if the main campaign is played along with all the side quests.

Starfield’s AI is Comparable to Skyrim, Gamers Disappointed With Seeing No Improvements

The AI in Starfield is said to be more artificial, and less intelligent, in most places

While speedrunners might not worry about the game’s bugs or glitches, there are aspects that many gamers look out for. One of them is about the game’s AI being not as intelligent as one would expect in a 2023 game. A gamer has posted a short clip of him chasing an NPC, who seems quite lost and gets stuck when hitting the wall, like a cheap battery-operated toy.

As seen above, when chased by the player, the NPC tries to hide at first, unsuccessfully and then runs until the NPC hits a wall but continues to run, weirdly.  The clip has since garnered a lot of replies as well, with some ridiculing the game, while others trying not to let it blow out of proportion.

One other user shared a different take on the game’s AI, mentioning how the AI is a lot better when it comes to combat.

The game has nonetheless, boosted the sales of Xbox Series consoles and Xbox GamePass subscriptions, as more and more gamers are trying to play the game. It’s been just four days since the early access release, so more reviews and perspectives of other gamers will keep coming out as soon as it’s out for all gamers who bought the game.

Another interesting aspect players are waiting to explore in Starfield is our own planet Earth and all the landmarks here as well. Starfield has easter eggs in the game that can unlock multiple landmarks on planet Earth. Buying the book Oliver Twist from Sinclair’s Books in the city of Akila, along with any other book related to London, will unlock a landing site in London. Acquiring the book titled, The Ancient Civilization of Egypt, will unlock a new activity and players will also be able to land at Cairo. From there, players can visit what depicts a real-life Pyramid.

Finally, players can also visit the NASA Launch Tower, located at Cape Canaveral in one of the campaign’s story missions named Unearthed. It’s launch day for Starfield tomorrow, and gamers will no doubt look to explore every single detail the game has to offer.
