In a discussion with Extra, the star of Atomic Blonde mentioned that filming the intimate scenes with her female co-star, Sofia, felt natural due to their shared background as dancers. She explained that the choreography required for such scenes made it an uncomplicated process.
Few are aware, but Theron’s early life included ballet studies as a child, although this path was interrupted by a knee injury at the age of 18. The Oscar-winning actress initially launched her journey as a dancer and had the privilege of collaborating with legendary figures like Madonna and Michael Jackson.
“Otherwise, they just become silly. There is a technical aspect to it, so with her, it was really easy because she thinks like me because we’re dancers. We shot that scene in, like, 45 minutes and with the guys, they’re not dancers, so it takes a bit more work.”
Nevertheless, considering the additional effort and time required, Charlize Theron openly acknowledged her enjoyment of filming intimate scenes with both male and female co-stars. She shared that while there’s a distinct dynamic in love scenes with men, she finds satisfaction in both experiences.

Charlize Theron expressed her desire to reenter the dating world with the goal of finding a life partner. The actress noted that as her children are maturing, she feels it’s the right time to focus on her own search for companionship.
“Somebody just needs to grow a pair and step up. I’m shockingly available. I’m starting to open myself up emotionally to perhaps finding the love of my life. I’ve been single for years. Now my littlest one is taking care of herself, so my time is opening up a little bit more. I’m just looking for a good human.”
