While games like this often fade into obscurity following a launch day due to a lack of replayability and post-launch content recent comments from Tim Willits, COO of Saber Interactive suggest that Space Marine 2 will not suffer the same fate as they have plans for post-release content.

Space Marine 2 Will Continue to Receive Content Post-Launch

Space Marine 2 will apparently be a rich and replayable game upon launch with six different classes, each with its own unique playstyle. Drawing inspiration from World War Z, the game’s director Dmitry Grigorenko, known for his expertise in progression and class identities, has crafted a deep progression system.

Players will be able to jump into both PvE and PvP modes, which will allow them to upgrade and customize their characters to their likings, numerous times.

The core of the game is replayable missions that adapt to player actions. The AI Director within the Swarm Engine adjusts the enemies and challenges, meaning that every mission will be a tad different than previously played, albeit just enough for players to come back for more.

There is no danger in grind if rewards stand the trouble players will deal with. Nevertheless, whether it’s battling Chaos Marines or Tyranids, players will face evolving threats that test their skills.

When asked about new classes, Tim Willits has said that in addition to the classes available at launch, the developers are committed to expanding the game post-launch with new classes, but also weapons, and game modes.

Yes, we have plans for it. There will be new stuff for everything.

The world of the Space Marine chapter of the Warhammer 40,000 universe is rich in lore and there are a bunch of classes that can be added to the six that will feature in the game on day one. With that said, fans have their thoughts and desires on the topic.

This only speaks volumes of Space Marine lore and the potential behind it. With many classes left out on launch, it remains only to be seen what the future holds for the game and players.

Fortunately, Willits has only positive words, and if successful enough on launch day, the game has a chance to survive for years to come.
