The magnetic cinematography of Star Wars is never-ending, with new flicks shattering glass ceilings ever since it premiered in the 1970s. Since then, the American epic has hooked the fans, as evidenced by broken box office records.

Although the series has explored several stories set in a galaxy far, far away, it has never opted to produce an R-rated film. The MPA classification of films made under the Disney banner has consistently stayed at PG-13.

However, a recent interview with Dave Filoni, Chief Creative Officer of Lucasfilm, presents a different image for those who love Star Wars.

The CCO was directly questioned about whether an R-rated Star Wars film was on the cards, to which he replied.

There’s an audience for that. I think also with that audience, I want to still be hitting the imagination of the kids out there so they can grow up and appreciate those things.

While Feloni generally avoids answering direct questions related to movies, he does agree that various filmmakers and authors have different perspectives on Star Wars, which may result in an R-rated Star Wars film.

Additionally, not everyone has the same ability to direct movies as George Lucas and creating a film without a person’s unique flair and creativity would be impossible.

The idea of an R-rated Star Wars film also stimulates viewers’ fantasies about a John Wick film set in the Star Wars universe. And to the surprise of the audience, Ahmed Best from the Star Wars prequel trilogy has a John Wick-inspired idea to present.

Ahmed Best makes a Star Wars movie proposal that is modeled after John Wick

In an interview with Comic Book, the actor best remembered for playing Jar Jar Binks in the prequel trilogy revealed a movie idea that would feature John Wick and his Jedi character Kelleran Beq.

He is mostly motivated by his admiration for Kelleran’s Filipino fighting techniques and the fact that, despite being the center of the Star Wars world, the Jedi were prohibited from showcasing their abilities given the strict Jedi code.

Further, by bringing in a combination of Jedi and Wick, the movie will elevate the capability of talented fighters to a new level. In addition, this would be a stunning addition to the ensemble of genuine warriors and samurais that the franchise has already produced.
