Apart from training, makeup, and costume, several actors had to undergo severe physical transformation to play their iconic characters. But nobody did it better than Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.
While Evans portrayed Captain America/Steve Rogers, Hemsworth portrayed the God of Thunder Thor. Despite their impressive dedication to fitness, Evans humorously once acknowledged that going head-to-head with Hemsworth in a physique showdown would be a losing battle.

The MCU has had more than a handful of legendary moments etched into the hearts and minds of fans. While most of them are from one or the other cinematic battle scenes, there is a moment that no Marvel fan can ever forget: Chris Evans‘ Captain America transformation.
Standing 6 feet tall, the Marvel star is a hunk of a man whose chiseled physique inspired countless fans to hit the gym. However, when it comes to comparing his build to that of his fellow Avenger Chris Hemsworth, who plays the Norse God Thor and is over 6 feet 3 inches tall. Even Evans admits there’s simply no contest.
In an interview, when asked if there was a lot of comparison going out between the two while prepping for their respective Marvel roles, the Knives Out star candidly remarked (via YouTube),
There’s no comparison. I mean, Come On! It’s very difficult to stand next to him. I mean, literally he is Thor! Its not just a costume. He is enormous. It’s difficult to try and keep up.
When asked about how he keeps up with his co-star, Evans joked it was all movie magic and C.G.I. Although he might have humorously acknowledged that his fellow Avenger has a better body, there is no denying that both actors had Greek-God-like physiques.

Comparisons between Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth’s physiques have existed since the day they appeared in their respective Marvel roles. While some fans herald Evans’ body as more aesthetic of the two, others cannot help but drool over his Australian co-stars’ towering presence and muscle-bound frame.
While such comparisons rage on, the Ghosted star believes he does not stand a chance against his fellow Avenger in terms of sheer physicality.
