Sandra Bullock recently expressed her disappointment that Keanu Reeves never asked her out on a date after they both appeared in the box office smash Speed, which made $350.4 million worldwide.
While working together on the 1994 picture, the two actors freely acknowledged having a thing for the another. Despite their obvious attraction to one another, they never dated. Bullock was frustrated that Reeves never acted on his attraction after their previous joint effort.

According to a source close to the stars, Bullock thought their time spent together on the Speed set would help them grow closer. Over the years, they’ve remained friends, but Bullock has made no secret of her desire for further romantic involvement.

The actress supposedly thought that Reeves’ time spent with her on the set of Speed would be the perfect moment for him to ask her out, but that never transpired. Sandra Bullock has been quite open about her respect and friendship for Reeves.
They have a tight friendship, and she expressed her admiration for him in an interview with Esquire.
“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.”
As revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bullock has always had feelings for Reeves and wishes that he would have pursued anything more than just a friendship with her. In the interview, she remarked, “there’s just something about me that I guess he didn’t like.”
“I think about how sweet Keanu Reeves was and how handsome he was. “It was hard for me to really be serious. He would look at me and I’d be like [giggles]. “There’s just something about me that I guess he didn’t like.”
Since their on-screen chemistry in Speed won viewers’ hearts everywhere, many fans continue to hope that Bullock and Reeves would stumble upon a relationship.

Fans of the two Hollywood celebs, who have been successful in Hollywood for decades, have dreamed of them getting together for years. Bullock and Reeves have long insisted they are merely friends despite persistent rumors.
Both actors in different interviews have acknowledged developing feelings for one other during filming Speed. However, they said nothing romantic ever came of it. Bullock seems hurt that Reeves never asked her out, but she and Reeves are still very good friends and work together when they get the chance.
