Another day, another new DCU drama. Fans and the studio had huge expectations from Shazam! Fury of Gods. But the film failed to live up to people’s expectations and didn’t earn the expected money on the first weekend. Who is to blame for this? Logically nobody, but people have already found the actor who they should put the blame for the failure of the Zachary Levi-led film. The actor is none other than Dwayne Johnson, who plays the new DC superhero Black Adam.

The Rock has a huge fan following and the fans won’t just sit there listening to people blaming their beloved. The fans have united to defend Dwayne Johnson in this situation and make Warner Bros understand its fault for the film’s failure.

The news outlet named The Wrap released some insider information about the whole blame game matter. It’s known that Johnson canceled Zachary Levi’s Shazam Cameo in his own film Black Adam. Apart from this, he also rejected the other idea of another version of post-credit in the film.

The idea was that the archenemy of Black Adam will be invited to join the Justice Society by Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman. This rejected idea was also supposed to be added in Shazam 2’s credit scene, but The Rock didn’t let it happen.

The Black Adam actor chose to have Henry Cavill’s Superman in the post-credit than Shazam. Director David F Sandberg explained the whole expected post-credit scene in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“So there were supposed to be characters from [Black Adam’s] Justice Society, but that fell apart three days before we were going to roll cameras. I was really upset because we had built that abandoned gas station set, and we could only shoot that scene in that little piece of forest. I was like, “This is so boring. We need something here.” So the art department built that whole gas station and brought in some old cars and things. They made it look really nice with very few resources, and so I was like, “We have this set and we have the time, so we have to shoot something here.”

Well, many are already accusing Johnson of denying access to the character but one of his fans online stands by him and has bashed Warner Bros for failing to take accountability.

A fan named Craig Lin took to Twitter to express his support for Dwayne Johnson and to call out Warner Bros for the blame game caused. The fan’s complaint from the studios was that they aren’t taking any responsibility for the failure and instead blaming someone else for it.

Lin brought to everyone’s notice that it was important for Warner Bros to accept their own failures in this and not shift the blame. He thinks there were some factors behind the underperformance of the film definitely as the first film was quite fantastic in his eyes.
