One of the great features that modern PlayStation consoles get right is the ability to run games from the previous generation without any problems. All of these games were originally released for the PS4, but you will have no trouble running them on your shiny new PS5. Even if you decide to purchase all of these games, it will cost you less than £5 in total.

Three distinct games with unique experiences at a great price.

Starting the list is perhaps one of the most anticipated titles in the history of video games. Anthem is available for £1.09 at the time of writing, and at this price, it might just be the relaxing Iron Man-esque, open-world fantasy you may enjoy casually.

While the game is naturally an online world where you can interact with fellow mech-enthusiasts, the gorgeous world powered by Frostbite Engine has enough to keep you entertained for many hours and then some more. The exosuits (named Javelin) are customizable and show off your love for futuristic gear.

Next up is Dishonored 2, for the price of £1.59. The franchise popularised first-person stealth, giving players the ability to combine supernatural powers as well as tactical and melee fighting techniques. If your idea of fun is getting from point A to point B in the most stylish way possible, – without the being seen, of course, – then this may be exactly what you are looking for.

Dishonored 2 is undoubtedly one of the best stealth games out there, with a focus on first-person immersion in a city that seems to be ruled by a totalitarian power. If a dark, fast-paced action/adventure with a knack for slick close combat is your thing, this would be an ideal escape.

Finally, at a price of £1.74, Star Wars: Squadrons makes another attempt to garner the attention it mostly couldn’t during its initial days of launch. Set in the instantly recognizable universe of Star Wars, the game takes players on a journey across a galaxy in some of the coolest flying machines based on a sci-fi saga. X-wings and TIE fighters are here to stay, with a focus on a single-player narrative set during the events after Return of the Jedi.

This may be a twist on the usual third-person perspective most people are familiar with in games like this one. With Squadrons, you’ll be spending most of your time in the pilot’s seat, facing all sorts of threats.

Together, these games have more than 35 hours’ worth of content

Together, these games have a lot of content to keep you entertained for hours.

All three games that are discounted have one thing in common; an enriching world that is attractive enough to distract you for hours. Dishonored 2 builds on its sequel by giving players a choice to play as either of two deadly protagonists. Based on your pick, your character abilities will differ and story consequences will shape up to player choices. The game’s campaign alone is more than 12 hours, but if you’re exploring the world and sometimes even replaying your choices, get ready to spend close to 20.

Anthem boasts a massive world that asks players to fly and explore through. In an exosuit of your choice, you’ll be taking a plunge into the world of Coda. You and fellow Freelancers will meet other players, enemies, and everything that poses a threat to different settlements. There’s a lot to do here, and you can expect 14 hours of story content. However, the world has other activities that can boost this number to 24 hours of playtime.

Finally, Star Wars: Squadrons has a shorter campaign compared to the other two. 9 hours of playtime is sufficient to give you a story set in a familiar world. However, you’ll likely spend a little more time on your favorite ships and replay missions based on different difficulty levels. At most, something between 11-14 hours of playtime can be expected.
