Paul Rudd’s Son Thought His Dad Worked At Movie Theaters
Paul Rudd is genuinely one of the funniest guys in Hollywood, not only is he good-looking at the age of 53 but he’s also a very peculiarly funny person. Fans who truly love the actor would know so if they’ve seen his interviews and public interactions.

Jack Sullivan Rudd, who is now 17 years old, had no idea that his dad was a big name in Hollywood until he turned 15. That’s what Paul Rudd said on Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist this weekend, and he’s not too fond of openly telling his kids that he’s a major movie star-
“I’m not gonna sit my kids down when they’re 3 and say, ‘You know, I’ve got some DVDs to show you. I didn’t really explain what I did.”
As he recalls, Jack was “about 4 or 5” and had gone to see a movie with his friends at the theaters. He said-
“We were all going, and there was a movie poster that I was on that was in the lobby. I think when he was 15, he finally put it all together.”
That took him quite the time to gather the fact that his dad is not just some normal guy, but he’s Paul Rudd!
However, Paul Rudd Never Told His Son The Truth Himself
It must be quite exhilarating to find out that the person who brought you up is one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood. However, Paul Rudd never bothered to tell his son that he was a movie star, even when his son had suspicions.
What could the reason for that possibly be? Well, he simply just doesn’t want them to care too much about it. Speaking on Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist, Rudd explained that he never corrected his son for believing that he was an employee at a movie theater-
“I never corrected him. I think I’m Dad more than I’m Ant-Man, or in the MCU.”
He also has a daughter named Darby, who couldn’t care less about her dad’s popularity-
“They don’t care, nor should they.”
That’s good parenting there. Never let them forget that you’re a parent first, and an actor second.
