British Star and former Superman actor Henry Cavill has been a Super Bowl fan all along. Recently, the actor revealed the team he cheered for to win one of the greatest sports events in the United States. Cavill further said that he was invited by a Fortune 500 company.
Apple invited Cavill to experience the event and the actor was cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. However, the stake against the San Francisco 49ers was higher than expected and before halftime, it was quite unpredictable which elevated the suspense of the game.
Apple Invited Henry Cavill To Super Bowl
Apple was all in the zone to provide all the comfort for Henry Cavill. They did not want to see the Superman star upset. So, while the Kansas City Chiefs stakes were high, the company sent one of their employees for his rescue making him cheer for the actor. “I’m a fan of the Chiefs,” Cavill said during his recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show Important to note, “Patrick Mahomes yes just so I’m not one of those Brits who came over and chose the best team,” he added apologizing straightway to avoid any controversies.
“Had a wonderful time because Apple very generously invited me to the Super Bowl and Apple being where Apple is. Obviously for Uniters fans, um and they felt so poorly for me and I think also we went in being The Underdogs for that as well.”
Cavill further recognized the concern for the Chiefs up until halftime. “To be honest up until halftime, there was some concerns,” the actor said. It is unclear if Cavill was going to enjoy the match live from the stadium or from the comfort of his home but he will remember the match for another interesting reason.
Apple Was Worried About Henry Cavill
While the concern was on the rise, Apple felt poorly of Cavill, being their guest, the company was not ready to absorb the distress from the game. For context, Cavill starred in Apple TV and Universal Pictures’ Argylle directed by Matthew Vaughn, and starring alongside, Sam Rockwell, Dua Lipa, and John Cena. “Apple felt so bad for me,” he said on The Rich Eisen Show revealing that the company sent an employee to cheer with him and his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso. “They actually had one of their guys support the Chiefs with me and Natalie.”
“And they said, you know? You jump in there and just make them feel comfortable… This gentleman he was uh, he had supported Chiefs in the past and he wasn’t really sort of in one camp or the other and so he said, ‘Yeah, yeah, you know, I go for it. I’m always about The Underdogs and about the franchise and let’s do it and Underdog so everyone was quite vocal to begin with. Especially, sort of in the Apple box and and and being very pto not Chief and so I thought okay, yeah, let’s step up and let’s be just as vocal back of course I didn’t get the memo that I should be less vocal when we started smashing them in the second,” Cavill added.
However, Cavill now thinks that the chances of him getting another invitation to the NFL event are slim to none. “So hopefully one day, I, we’ll be invited back well chances are low,” he said. Cavill was on the promotional tour for Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare during his latest interview.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is now showing in theaters. Argylle can be streamed on Apple TV+.
