It was previously announced that Studio Eclypse is remaking Kentaro Miura’s hit manga series, Berserk, with the title, Berserk: The Black Swordsman. Recently, the studio released a new key visual on their official X (Formerly Twitter) account for the new trailer which will be released in May 2024.
But that’s not all. It has also been revealed that Berserk will return with chapter 376 in Young Animal magazine issues 9–10 on April 26, 2024. This will be the first time fans will receive a new chapter in four months. The chapter will be introduced with a color page, but no other information has been disclosed.
Berserk is one of the best manga series out there, but it has never got a decent anime adaptation that could do justice to Miura’s magnum opus. Therefore fans have a lot of expectations from Berserk: The Black Swordsman. As soon as this double-good news hit the internet, Berserk fans couldn’t keep control of their excitement and expressed their happiness on X, as the tweets went viral.
Berserk Makes a Comeback With a New Manga Chapter Along with Upcoming Anime
In anticipation of the debut of the trailer in May 2024, Studio Eclypse, the creators of Berserk: The Black Swordsman, have published a chilling new key visual on their official X account. The anticipated trailer will be shown at Otakufest, which takes place over two days from May 18 to May 19. Fans have been hoping that the new series should be better than the anime adaptation that came out in 2016.
The goal of the series is to effectively adapt the first arc of Kentaro Miura‘s original Berserk manga series. The show centers on Guts’ quest for retribution against Griffith, who he believes betrayed him and killed his allies in order to make himself into a formidable demonic creature.
Furthermore, on April 26, 2024, the Berserk manga will release Chapter 376, which will continue the new plot that started with Chapter 374. This is also the first arc that does not involve Miura.
"Berserk" by Kentarou Miura, Studio Gaga, Kouji Mori will resume in the upcoming Young Animal issue 9-10/2024 out April, 26.

After creator Miura passed away in 2021, his friend Kouji Mori took over both the creation and management of the Berserk manga. Studio Gaga and Mori have been collaborating to create the manga series together and after so long will finally be able to give fans what they deserve.
Berserk Fans Are in For a Treat After So Long
The key visual and manga chapter came as a shock to Berserk fans. Although the series Berserk: The Black Swordsman was already announced, the key visual was a delightful and unexpected surprise.
Also, the excitement increased tenfold when the announcement of the release of a new manga chapter hit the internet. Fans have been waiting for the new chapter was months as the last chapter was released in November 2023.
Fans flooded X with appreciation and excitement for the series finally making progress after the tragic demise of its creator. While some fans were happy knowing that the series will finally continue its story in the manga, some showed excitement for the anime series that will adapt Berserk from the beginning.
Well they kept their promise of returning before Elden Ring DLC.

The adventure of Guts will soon take center stage with the release of the manga chapter and the new anime. As witnessed, fans can’t keep calm about the series making a comeback after so long! Hopefully, the anime series does justice to Miura’s magnum opus and gives the fans what they truly deserve.
