An insider revealed some details as to how while finalizing her divorce with Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman started bonding over the matter. Finding ways to move on from the actor and the stress of leaving it all behind, the two became quite good friends over their shared experience of marrying and then separating from theTop Gun: Maverick actor.

After Katie Holmes divorced Tom Cruise back in 2012, she quickly befriended Cruise’s ex-wife Nicole Kidman. The duo had much to talk about and Kidman, being the experienced person, helped Katie Holmes sort her affairs out.
In a report, an insider revealed information as to the nature of the duo’s friendship. Stating that the bond was formed over a man they both had been married to, the insider claimed that “they shared a very unique experience”. Supporting each other through the terrible times, their friendship became quite a unique bond in Hollywood.
“They shared a very unique experience. Nicole knew firsthand how difficult it was to walk away from Tom and the stress that comes with being married to such a huge star… She would tell her that everything was going to be OK and congratulated her on taking such a brave step.”
The insider further continued,
“Nicole finally felt free to say her piece. She grew a lot in the years since her split from Tom and was no longer afraid of being silenced by the church. They may not hang out together, but they have each other’s backs.”
