It’s conflicting, the loss of the star of the show Angus Cloud was also devastating but beyond that, Jacob Elordi’s discouraging comments about the show have shaken the core of the fandom of the hit show. However, the actual reason is greater than that.

If you are wondering about season 3 of Max’s show Euphoria, Jacob Elordi, who played Nate Jacobs in the show, has an update. Appearing on an episode of The Tonight Show, the Australian actor revealed that nothing is cooking for the third season of Euphoria, at least, not to his knowledge. When the host Jimmy Fallon asked, “The Euphoria, do you know when that starting to film again?” The actor seemed clueless about the future of the show as he replied, “I don’t know, do you know?”

“I hope it’s soon, or they’re going to have to Benjamin Button me or something. I’m going to have a bad back walking down the hallway, you know?”

Alluding to Benjamin Button is strange but has a reason for it. Earlier, HBO confirmed that the third season will be premiered on Max in 2025. It is a huge gap considering the last season that aired in January 2022. So, the plausible explanation for the actor has to be a jump in time. “I’m assuming that we’ll have to go forward. Otherwise, it’s going to seem like a weird bit,” the actor said. The actor’s comments, however, did not go well with fans.

Jacob Elordi’s comment on the show was deemed discouraging by many fans, and they have asked HBO to cancel the show. Also, it is widely believed that the Zendaya-starrer show had a good run with two seasons, and it would retain the accolades without another season run. Fans now took to social platforms urging the network to halt as they plan to develop another season.

Now, with almost the gap of three years, the shift and change could be very different in the series, affecting the inherent flow of the narrative. Fans fear that it would ruin the essence of it or maybe the very foundation of the show. Still, the renewal might bring a certain unexpected twist, and it is too early to judge what HBO may bring to the table.
