Harrison Ford has a way of doing things that have made him the notable actor that he is today. While talking about the 1982 movie Blade Runner, Ford and notable director Ridley Scott who was responsible for the film have disagreed with the ending of the film for decades!

With Denis Villeneuve taking charge of the sequel Blade Runner 2049 back in 2017, he noted the debate was quite entertaining to watch. Recalling that Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott had different theories as to how the 1982 movie ended, the duo starts to talk very loudly whenever they disagree with the ending.

Harrison Ford And Ridley Scott Still Disagree To This Day!

The actor-director duo of Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott created the 1982 movie that started a franchise. Blade Runner was met with quite appraisals and praises as Ford’s character starts to question his own identity as he goes deeper into his mission.

With an open ending that was left for the audience to interpret, it seems that Ford and Scott have also disagreements with the ending. With Ridley Scott giving believing in the negative ending that Ford’s character Deckard is the very thing that he is hunting and Ford claiming that he is a human till the end, the actor-director has had quite some debates regarding this.

Denis Villeneuve, who directed the sequel to the 1982 classic Blade Runner 2049 chuckled about the debate. Stating that the debates and disagreements get hilarious when the duo sits down for a chat, here’s what Villeneuve had to say about Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott.

“Harrison and Ridley are still arguing about that. If you put them in the same room, they don’t agree. And they start to talk very loud when they do. It’s very funny.”

With a sequel to direct, Villeneuve decided not to take sides and he essentially continued the mystery by not clarifying whether Deckard was a human or a replicant in Blade Runner 2049.

“So I decided that the movie… Deckard, in the movie, is unsure, as we are, of what his identity is. Because I love that. I love mystery.”

Denis Villeneuve has been a notable name in the world of sci-fi as the director is currently busy preparing the release of another one of his magnum opus, Dune: Part Two.

After portraying some very iconic roles, the actor quickly found himself exactly where he did not want to be. He found himself rich and famous in the world of Hollywood as fans started recognizing him everywhere the actor went. In a recent interview with People, the actor clarified that it was never his intention to be rich or famous. He only ever wanted to be an actor.

“I never thought that I would be a leading man…I really was just hoping I could make a living as an actor and not have to supplement my income with some other side hustle…I thought I would be lucky to have a character part on a regular TV show…No one ever believes this, but I never wanted to be rich and famous. I just wanted to be an actor.”

Harrison Ford is currently attached to two upcoming projects which include his iconic reprisal of Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and allegedly Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross in Captain America: Brave New World.
