The list of actors expected to be the next James Bond includes a number of Hollywood stars. And Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, and Tom Hardy are some of the names who are considered for the part. One of the latest addition to the list includes the English actor, who became a frontrunner in the race soon after he met the James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli for an audition.
And the rumors have been hyped even more followed by Taron Egerton’s recent interview, where he claimed that the search for the next James Bond is over.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Could be the Next James Bond
Daniel Craig took his final bow as the MI6 secret agent in No Time to Die and fans of the franchise have been eagerly waiting for the next James Bond. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, people have shared their expectations and assumptions over who could don the title of 007 after the Skyfall star.
Henry Cavill along with several superstar actors has been one of the top contenders for the character. Taron Egerton, popularly known for his role in the Kingsman franchise, is also among the actors who could be the next James Bond. However, during his recent interview with Total Films, Egerton denied the claim as he shared that the makers may have already found the next MI6 secret agent.
When he was asked about being the next James Bond, the actor said, “Yeah. I mean, I think they’ve already got someone, and it’s not me.” The Rocketman star further shared that he has never been a part of that conversation and that Barbara Broccoli never contacted him concerning the role.
As he shared that he has never been part of the conversation he said, “They’ve never enquired about me. I’ve just never been one of the guys that they’re looking at.” Egerton also said that there are much better candidates other than him. He also said that he is looking forward to the next James Bond as he shared that he is also a fan of the franchise.
The Black Bird star’s statement has led many to believe that the makers may have already cast Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the new James Bond. While the Kick-Ass 2 star is flattered by the rumors, he has not said anything clearly about rumors.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson on Being the Next James Bond
During his recent interview with Vanity Fair, Aaron Taylor Johnson was asked about potentially being the next James Bond. The Avengers: Age of Ultron actor dodged the question as he called these rumors “flattering” before he seemingly talked about the media scrutiny.
Talking about the James Bond rumors he said that sometimes these rumors are positive and other times something really negative starts circulating. The Nowhere Boy star further shared, “You just want to stay in your lane, stay grounded, stay around the people that you love and love you back, and stay in that world.”
Although he did say that he was flattered to be a frontrunner in the race, his statement seems to be hinting toward the recent cheating rumors surrounding him and his Bullet Train co-star Joey King. Rumors regarding him being the next James Bond started after The Sun reported that Aaron Taylor-Johnson did a screen test to be the next Bond, and producers and Barbara Broccoli loved him. Nothing has been confirmed about who would be the next British agent in the James Bond franchise.
