2022 had been quite the year for the singer-actor, Harry Styles. While he received critical and commercial acclaim for his third solo album, Harry’s House, the same cannot be said about his performance on the big screen. He starred in two 2022 films, Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman. The singer-turned-actor received mixed reviews for his performance, and critics described him as inexperienced to have a leading role.
Other than his professional life, Styles was also in the conversation about his relationship with actor-director Olivia Wilde. The couple broke up after two years of relationship in November 2022. Followed by the ups and downs throughout 2022, the Kiwi singer has finally made a comeback at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

Harry Styles Wins the Most Prestigious Grammy Award
Harry Styles won the Album of the year for Harry’s House at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Trevor Noah, who presented the award, asked one of the fans to read out the name. The fan, excited and nervous, spoke out the name “Harry Styles.”
The Grammy-winning singer took the stage and shared that he has been “so inspired by every artist in this category with [him].” He then went on to mention that there is no such thing as the best in music. Before handing over the mic to producers, the Dunkirk star said, “This doesn’t happen to people like me very often,” and thanked everyone for supporting him.
Styles has received three nominations at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. He won the Best Pop Solo Performance for Watermelon Sugar at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Harry Styles Was Adamant to Perform As it Was
Harry Styles was nominated under six categories, including Album of the Year. Styles also took the stage to perform his No. 1 hit, As It Was, in a pale pink sequined one-piece suit. Followed by his performance, Styles won the most prestigious Grammy at the award ceremony.
The performance also featured a similar formation as the music video for the hit song, where Styles and the backup dancers grooved along to the song on a circular red platform. Grammys producer Ben Winston shared that Styles was firm on his decision to perform As it Was.
Winston shared on The Town podcast that he suggested the Don’t Worry Darling star should perform any other song, but “he was like, ‘No, no, As It Was is the hit. That’s what I’m nominated for…that’s the one we’re gonna play.’” His song, As it Was, was nominated for Record of the year, Song of the year, and Best pop solo performance.
