Last November, Burton announced that he had finished the Beetlejuice sequel following the delay caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike. As the long-awaited sequel to director Tim Burton’s 1988 film returns, fans are hyped to see Michael Keaton reprising his role of titular green-haired ghost.

As the trailer was dropped, fans waited for Keaton’s entry, and with just four words, he gave all the fans a proper nostalgic vibe.

Michael Keaton Returns in Beetlejuice 2 After 36 Years

The first trailer for Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has been released, and it gives us a hint at what we can expect from the long-anticipated sequel. As the trailer dropped, fans longed for Michael Keaton‘s entry. 

As he appears on the trailer, he proudly rises from its ashes, opens his arms, and declares, “The juice is loose!” And, that was enough to make the fans nostalgic. According to a synopsis,

After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened.

Fans Share Their Emotion 

Michael Keaton’s return to the film was a necessity. His old age has not been a factor in slowing down his acting skills, and we saw what he brings to the screen.

As Keaton now got to reprise one of his most cherished roles again, fans seemed to be very happy. As the official Waner Bros. Picture dropped the trailer on YouTube. One user @redith137 wrote: “The dude has not been playing this character for 36 years and in one sentence makes me nostalgic and extremely happy to see him.”

Another wrote: “36 years later and Michael Keaton hasn’t lost all that charm that makes him Beetlejuice.”

One user named @MayLily was quite impressed with Keaton’s longevity.

He commented: “The fact that back in 88/89- Michael did Beetlejuice and Batman back to back, and now to come back as both over 35 years later is just too awesome!”
